Simple Steps, Big Profits: How to Find Lucrative Low-Content Niches for Free!

Ready to take your low-content book game to the next level? Today, I'm sharing a free, no-fail 3-step process designed to help you uncover those golden niches with ease.

If you're already familiar with the world of low-content books and Amazon KDP, you know that finding the right niche is key to success. But fear not! I've got your back with a simple method that'll have you pinpointing those profitable niches faster than you can say "bedtime."

Step 1: Install Plug-ins

From your laptop or desktop, download the following plug-ins to your web browser: AMZ Suggestion Expander and DS Amazon Quickview.

Step 2: Gather Ideas

Plug in your book ideas into Amazon’s search bar. If you need some inspiration to get started, check out my blog post, ____.

Typically, a list of suggested keywords will appear below the search bar while you type, but AMZ Suggestion Expander will offer additional suggestions.

As seen in the example below, when I type in “logbook,” suggested keywords include logbook for car, logbook for trucker, and logbook for baby. These suggestions are specific products related to your search that others are searching for on Amazon, which we refer to as niches.

Take note of any and all niches that interest you.

Optional step: you can repeat Step 2 using your list of potential niches in order to dive even further into potential niches.

For example, if you type into Amazon’s search bar, logbook for car, potential suggestions are include mileage logbook for car and mechanic logbook for car. Add these to your list of potential niches!

Step 3: Shortlist Profitable Niches

Once you’ve gathered your list of potential niches, search for each on Amazon.

Note: Don’t add any search filters.

With the DS Amazon Quickview plug-in installed, you will notice a number below each item, which is that item’s Best Sellers Rating (BSR). This number indicates how a product is selling on Amazon compared to other products listed in the same category.

If there are less than 1,000 search results and at least 5 books similar to ones you can create on the first page of the result page with BSR below #200,000, consider this a promising niche!

The problem with niches that yield thousands of search results is that this is your competition! You will have a much harder time making it to the first search result page — or even the fifth! — if there are tens of thousands of similar books.

Similarly, when most books have BSR’s above 300,000, this indicates that there is not a great demand for this type of book.

By leveraging these tools to uncover niches with low competition and high demand, you're setting yourself up for success in the ever-growing world of Amazon KDP.

Remember, consistency is key, so keep exploring, keep creating, and keep hustling!
